FIRST - WHAT SIZE AM I?

Although wigs can be adapted to different circumferences thanks to the adjustable elastic bands found at the nape of the neck, it is always a good idea to check the size of your head.

With this little trick you will avoid unpleasant sensations and discomforts related to the size. In fact, if a wig is too small we could feel headaches and/or the sensation that it is slipping away, if it is too big it could cover the ears and give us the impression that it is moving.

❌ Higher price and sometimes difficulty in finding resulting in longer waiting times;

❌ Maintenance and longer washing : it is important to wash with suitable products and then proceed with drying and styling.

Pros and Cons of Mixed Hair :

✔️ Very similar to natural hair in terms of softness and movement but does not lose its shape with humidity or at the first wash. The higher the percentage of heat-resistant synthetic hair, the easier it will be to maintain the style over time;

✔️ Vibrant colors and low chance of color fading over time. The addition of heat resistant synthetic hair makes it possible to achieve colors that would otherwise be impossible to reproduce.

❌ Lasts less than 100% natural hair (real hair);

❌ Average washing and maintenance time , similar process to natural hair although styling may occur less frequently. Over time it will be necessary to pass the straightener to restructure the hair through heat .

Pros and Cons of Synthetic Hair :

✔️ Always styled, lightweight hair and minimal maintenance . Synthetic hair will air dry and always return to its original style, so you always look like you just stepped out of the hairdresser.

✔️ Colors and models galore with prices that vary depending on the internal construction.

❌ Shorter duration than the previous categories especially for longer wigs that can make more knots. If you are a beginner we recommend you choose wigs that reach the shoulders or shorter, in order to get the hang of synthetic fiber.

❌ It will not be possible to dye or change the style

 

If you are a beginner, we recommend choosing a color and cut that is close to what you have already worn , so as not to make too big a leap towards a wig that you may not feel is yours.

The general rule is that the less volume we want, the more the wig will have to be hand-made . The volume is inserted to cover an internal machine-made structure, thus ensuring that the hair can be gathered safely.

If you are looking for little volume and a parting with a cute effect, you can choose wigs with monofilament (free parting) or with a lace parting.

Exceptions: Gisela Mayer and Ellen Wille wigs are often (but not always) thin, even when they are mostly machine-made. These wigs also often tend to fit small.
